Obituary of Al Hoornweg

Peacefully at North Lambton Lodge in Forest on Tuesday, April 27th, 2010. Aloysius "Al" Hoornweg of Forest in his 88th year. Al is survived by his loving wife and best friend Hetty for 59 years. Al is also survived by his children Richard (Joyce) Hoornweg, Josta (Dave) Greenwood, Laurette (Jack) Brown and Pam (Dave) Brown. Al will be fondly remembered by his grandchildren John (Sherinne), Darcy, Michael, Abby (Taylor), Adam, Joanna (Mark), Greg, Mathew (Jamie), Dan (Alicia), and Natalie (Rusty) and by great grandchildren Jayla, Emrey, Noah, Jack, Alex and Christopher. Also survived by brother Anthony (Irene) Hoornweg of Holland. Al will also be remembered by many loving nieces and nephews. Al was a proud member of his local community serving as a Kiwanian, serving his church, St. Christopher's and a proud founding member of St. John Fisher school. Visitation will be held at the FOREST CHAPEL OF DENNING FUNERAL DIRECTORS (9 James St. South) on Wednesday, April 28th, 2010 from 2-4 and 7-9pm with parish prayers at 6:45pm. Mass of Christian Burial celebrated on Thursday, April 29th at 11am from St. Christopher's parish. Father Gerard Bedard celebrant. Cremation to follow.
