I only have memories of my grandma Reid with blonde short hair. My dad and I used to go visit her when I lived with him as a teenager. After I had children then we would go a couple of times a year to see her and it was always interesting to see how her grandsons interacted with her. I moved away from Ontario to Alberta, then to British Columbia and managed to stop by two or three times after that. The last time I saw my grandmother was at my father Maurice's funeral. Needless to say she was quite distraught, the thought that your children will die before you never enters your mind. As a mother of 6 and grandmother to two grandchildren this time for me is bittersweet, I really wanted to see or speak with my grandmother one more time before she crossed to the other side. I know where is she is and I am certain she is happy and with all who went before her. I have only few photos here with me in Italy and I think one is of a time where we had five living generations in one shot, the man was my great grandfather, I hope I can find it and post it here. I would also love to be able to view what every one else is sharing too. I will probably post something more later.
