Obituary of John Ivan Parker

With family by his side, at the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance on Thursday, November 29th, 2018, John Ivan “Jack” Parker passed away in his 78th year.  Jack was born on July 15th, 1941 in Port Alma, Ontario, to the late Charles J. Parker and Iola G. Graham. He will be missed by his sisters Mary (John) Cooper of Merlin, and Phyllis (Doug) Johnston of Chatham. Jack will be remembered by his nieces and nephews, Angela (Rob) Mathewson, Erin (Jay) Killoran, Linda (Arley) Haskell, Graham (Christine) Johnston, and Mark (Sue) Johnston. Jack worked as a Funeral Director in Toronto for 16 years, returning to Merlin in January of 1978, operating the Funeral Home in the community until his retirement in April of 1999. Friends and family be received at DENNING’S OF CHATHAM (519-352-2390), 4 Victoria Avenue, on Saturday, December 1st, 2018 from 6 to 8pm, and again on Sunday, December 2nd, 2018 from 1pm until the time of the Funeral Service at 2pm. A Memorial Service will be conducted under the Auspices of The Moose Lodge 1692 on Saturday evening at 7:45pm.
