Obituary of Ronald Paul Verslycken

Ronald Paul Verslycken passed away on the afternoon of June 17th, 2018, in the company of his beloved cat ‘Mandy.’ He will be greatly missed by his devoted brother Gary Verslycken and Miriam McGrail-Verslycken.  Beloved uncle of Michael Verslycken of Chatham, Matthew Verslycken of Seoul, South Korea, and Laura Verslycken of Basel, Switzerland. Great uncle to Yenna. Ronald is predeceased by his parents Wilfred Verslycken and Ruth Norrie (nee Gaynor), and brother Brian Verslycken.

Ron was well cared for by the Chatham-Kent ACT Team as well as Chatham-Kent Mental Health for the past 20 years, for which the family is forever grateful. Ron was a member of Praise Fellowship Church and an avid cycler, who enjoyed music and being welcomed at Tim Horton’s. 

Cremation has taken place. A Memorial Service will take place at DENNING’S OF CHATHAM (519-352-2390), 4 Victoria Avenue, on Thursday, June 21st, 2018 at 11am. Visitation will be held one hour prior. Interment to follow in Maple Leaf Cemetery, Chatham, at a later date. Donations in Ron’s memory may be made to The Mental Health Network of Chatham-Kent.
