Obituary of Allen Bedford

Surrounded by his family at the Windsor Regional Hospital on Sunday, April 8, 2018, Mr. John Allen Bedford of Wheatley passed away peacefully in his 78^th year. Cherished son of the late John William and Lois Bedford (nee Allen). Brother of Robert (Karen). Beloved husband of Pauline (nee Leeson) and the late Beverly (nee Card). Loving father of Stephanie, Jennifer (Gabriel) and Allison (Trevor). Lovingly remembered by his grandchildren Erin, Clare, Lauren, Isaak (Kasey Ann), Jason and great granddaughter Teagan. Always missed by his nephew Robbie (Lindsay) and niece Jennie.

Allen was an educator for over 40 years both in Canada and United States. He loved working with wood to make things for family and friends. Allen loved to explore the world and visit his grandchildren wherever they were stationed. He always got excited to go on a new adventure, such as a vacation or a cruise. Allen was active in the Ancient and Accepted Scottish Rite, Masonic Knights Templar, and Shriners.

Friends and family will be received at DENNING’S OF CHATHAM (519-352-2390), 4 Victoria Avenue, on Thursday, April 12^th, 2018 from 2-4 and 7-9pm. The Funeral Service will be held at Christ Church, 80 Wellington Street West, Chatham, on Friday morning at 11am. Interment to follow in Maple Leaf Cemetery. A Masonic Service under the auspices of Parthenon Lodge No. 267 A.F. & A.M. will be conducted at the Funeral Home on Thursday evening at 6:30pm.
