I was your grandmother Lois' family doctor. She was such a pistol! Your dad kept such good care of her while totally respecting her right and need to independence. I enjoyed the pleasure of knowing and interacting with your family. Allen was/is a wonderful man. I completely understand why you are proud to call him dad. I feel honoured to have had the pleasure to interact with him and Lois God be with you and your family.

Dear Family - Ken and I were saddened to hear about Alan's death. We have some wonderful memories of times spent with you. One is watching you Jennifer and Alison climb out of your little bug with your parents and a dog at our place in Toronto. You also had a ton of stuff that you were taking with you down east. You were full of laughs. Another is the time we spent on the island with you and you had a crate of chickens delivered. I think that we may have met Gabe at this time. How time flies!! Ken and I are thankful that you were there to support your dad through his final hours. We are adjusting to our new lifestyle. Ken is in the Courtyard ie Long Term Care of Christie Gardens. I am in a small apartment in the same complex. It is a big adjustment but we are lucky to be close to one another. We reminisced as we looked at some the pictures on the web site. So sorry in the loss of your dad.....it breaks your heart . Sincere sympathy to all your family! I did not know your dad in recent years but I remember well aunt Lois and uncle Jack bringing him and little bros Rob to visit grampa Allen to his saw mill near North Bay! We had fun climbing lumber piles and slide in shavings.....and at Nite collecting fire flies in the pitch darkness of our home in Balsam Creek. Big hugs to all of you and your family and his many friends!xo

I would like Express my deepest condolences to Allen's family during this difficult tine. I remember going to visit Aunt Lois when I was 6or 7. Allen and Bev took my step brother and i out for the day. The only thing I remember was we visited a farm and I got to pet the cows. Thank for being a wonderful cousin Allen.R.I.P.
