I am shocked to learn of Georgia's death. It's just coincidence that I discovered her demise by searching her name online. Usually a classmate informs us but unfortunately this was a missed opportunity for many, like me, who knew nothing about her health problems.
Elizabeth (Ross) Rankin, Class of '63.

Georgia was one of my first supervisors when I went to work at St. Joseph Medical Center after graduating from Valley College. She had just been promoted to Staffing Supervisor, and I worked as her assistant. As a naive twenty-year-old in her first real job, I had somewhat of an attitude problem. I knew it, but I just didn't know what to do about it. Georgia mentored me and made me realize what I had to do to change my ways (and keep my job!). I will forever be grateful to her. She was a wonderful person with a great sense of humor, full of fun. I was fortunate enough to be able to attend her retirement party from St. Joseph's--it was a special evening.

Georgia was indeed an intelligent, kind and formidable lady! My husband, Peter, was outside counsel to Saint Joseph Medical Center and worked closely with Georgia for many years. We had the pleasure of becoming good friends and making many happy memories with both Georgia and her husband, Don. Georgia was one of a kind and will be missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing her. I take some comfort in knowing she is no longer in pain and is united again with her beloved Don. We'll miss hearing your voice and that great laugh! Rest in Peace Great Lady!

I was the outside attorney for Saint Joseph Medical Center. I worked with Georgia when she became Risk Manager until her retirement. I, not only, enjoyed working with her but also became great friends with her. I remember my wife and I attending her annual Christmas parties at her home in Burbank and participating in the Annual Saint Joseph Golf Tournament. We would also have dinner with she and Don frequently. Georgia was very insightful concerning the numerous cases I handled for the hospital. She was a very dear friend and I will miss her. Rest in Peace My Dear Friend!

To Georgia's family & friends I send my condolences.
It's difficult to write this, as Georgia has been my good friend since we were teenagers in nursing school. She was my maid of honor & I was her matron of honor in 1970 & 71. She was always there for her family that she dearly loved & all of her friends when she was needed. She was a person who would provide good advice & support to so many.
Georgia & Don were a wonderful couple & she loved Don's children & their families very much. We shared many good memories going on cruises, to plays, concerts, etc. & living in Sun Lakes in California.
I am so happy that Georgia moved "back home" where she received the wonderful support of her family as her health failed & I was able to spend time with her here & of course I wish I could have spent more time with her.
Along with so many others whose lives she touched I will miss her very much.

Working with Georgia in the eighties was always exciting and rewarding. Her commitment to quality in patient care and health care administration was legendary. Never a dull moment as she got things done. Her interest in people and making them successful when she believed in them and what they were all about will live long in my memory. May she Rest In Peace. Ray Crerand

What an amazing woman!! I have so many memories of her. When her grandson Ryan came to California for a visit, she called me to see if she could take my son Anthony with them to Disneyland, I told her I would call her back in 5 minutes, 1 minute later she called me to tell me what time she was picking him up!! One day I came in to work to find my schedule had changed so I could take care of Don, from inside of the room, Don said to Georgia, “ isn’t that Anthony’s mother? Georgia was one of a kind, and surely will be missed, you are reunited with Don now.

Georgia was in the nursing office when I was hired at St. Joe's in 1980. I was impressed by her ability to put people at ease. Never intimidating as a supervisor and was a good problem solver. When she moved to Sun lakes in Banning I moved nearby several years later. We had Brunch, a movie, and dinner sometimes. I truly enjoyed listening to her stories and I know she will be missed.

Georgia hired me way back in 1974 and was such a cheerful and fun person to have around. She made a big difference to the whole St Joe’s vibe! My husband remembers how kind and supportive she was to him when I was a patient instead of a nurse. He says he’s never forgotten her kindness. We were all very lucky to have you, Georgia. May you now rest in peace with Don.♥️

Dear Leslie, Jerry Bev and all of Georgia"s family: I was so sorry to learn of Georgia's recent passing. I only met her when she moved into Royalcliffe and I did not know her very well! She was certainly a lively person when she first moved in here, but it was soon evident that her health was failing. She will be missed by her family and by all her former workmates who cared for her greatly. My sympathy to all of her extended family. Rest peacefully, Georgia.

I was happy to be a classmate of Georgia at STEGH and saw her every five years at reunions which she helped to organize. I always admired her spirit of adventure in heading to California to share her knowledge and work ethic there and also her Canadian accent! She will indeed be missed and had a “larger than life presence”. My sincere sympathies to her family . Lois. Millar

I'm so very sorry to hear about the loss of Georgia. My family and I have know Georgia since she married Uncle Don. Our families were great friends did lot of things together, football games, dinners, etc. Georgia has been with us through good and bad times. She basically got us connected to the hospital for jobs, Dad in maintenance, Mom in bookkeeping, Sister as a nursing aide and myself as a nursing aide then working with Georgia in the Nursing office. We were blessed to be able to meet so many members of her family when they would come to California. Our thoughts and prayers go to all her family and friends. She will be so missed!
Rest in peace Georgia!

My sincere condolences to the family. So blessed and grateful for Georgia in our lives. Always full of energy and laughter. She babysat us as kids and I travelled to California at 18 for a month to visit her and Don and their son Mark. When she returned home to Ontario we were able to spend some time together. God bless Gerald Page

Georgia was an amazing leader and advocate for quality patient care. Pragmatic and decisive, she developed and instituted many safe care practices. Her height and strong voice made her a formidable force for Joint Commission surveys . And her laugh and big smile made her friends with staff and administration. I will miss her, though she does still live in my heart, and the halls of PSJMC.

I was fortunate to work with Georgia first in ER night shift and later as her assistant. We shared a love for country music and attended many concerts. We worked hard, but had many fun times. I also was a partner in "its that purse" and you had to be there to enjoy all the stories regarding "that purse". I love you and I will forever, rest now in Jesus arms. Lorraine
