Obituary of Roderick O'Connor

O'CONNOR Roderick J. O'Connor (Rocky) passed away at the age of 78 after a courageous and fierce battle with cancer. He is survived by his loving wife and best friend, Huguette (Danis) O'Connor, his three sons in Ottawa, Don (Darlene), Ken, Rick (Claire) and his daughter Lynn (Lucy) of Woodslee, his three grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Special thanks to: Dr. K. Mardell, Dr. G. Kim, CCAC Staff and Home care, the Nursing Staff at Four Counties Hospital in West Elgin and to the Nurses and Staff at Parkwood Hospital in London. Thanks also to all of our family, friends and neighbours for their prayers and support during this difficult time. Friends may call at Denning Funeral Directors - Rodney Chapel on Sunday, January 30th, 2011 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. Parish prayers will be recited at 2 pm. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday at 11 am at St. Mary's Church, West Lorne. Father M. Johnston celebrant. Interment Rodney cemetery. Rodney Legion #525 will conduct a memorial service on Sunday at 7:30 pm. Donations can be made in lieu of flowers to Four Counties Health Services Foundation or Parkwood Hospital Foundation.
