Obituary of Suzanne McGregor

McGREGOR Suzanne Lorraine (nee Buller). We lost Suzanne on Friday, May 21st, 2010. She died peacefully surrounded by her family at Four Counties in Newbury after a long but courageous struggle against a brain tumor. Suzanne was best friend, advisor, and wife to Al of West Lorne, friend and mother to Shannon (Chris Partridge) of Burlington and Sean of London. She is survived by her sister Mary Margaret Buller of London, brother Brian Buller (Janis Demmans) of Port Dover, and a large extended family. Suzanne was born in London on February 10 of 1951 to the late Lorraine (1963) and Edna Buller (2007). She married in 1972 and lived in Kingston and Ottawa where she was a full time mother and active community volunteer. In 1987 Suzanne and her family began a new lifestyle at the farm near West Lorne. She was active in the community there as well, serving with the Rodney Aldborough Fair Board and the West Elgin Recreation committee. Suzanne was a Master Gardener, a gifted photographer, and until her illness worked for the West Elgin Chronicle. Her caring spirit, vibrant positive personality and her infectious smile will be missed by all those who came to know her. Friends may call at the West Lorne Chapel on Tuesday, May 25th, 2010 from 7-9 pm. A celebration of Suzanne's life will take place on Wednesday at the chapel at 1:30 pm. Rev Deb Dolbear-Van Bilsen assisted by Major Jean Birt officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to the Four Counties Health Services would be appreciated as your expression of sympathy. Arrangements entrusted to Padfield Funeral Homes (519 785-0810).
