Obituary of Bill Flater
Suddenly on April 18th, 2010, William "Bill" John Flater of Forest in his 78th year. Beloved husband and best friend of Barbara (Davies) Flater. Loving father of Michael (Sheri) Flater and Karen (Bob) Lapier. Fondly remembered by grandchildren Candace and Stacey Flater. Also survived by two nephews, Stan and Bill French. Predeceased by twins; brother Lloyd (1934) and sister Margaret (1978). Predeceased by mother Hazel May (Bell) Flater, 1954 and father Lorne Flater, 1971. Bill was the farm trade agent for Imperial Oil in the Forest area for 25 years. He had many other interests which included boating, flying and helping with the sound system for Sunday services at St. James Presbyterian Church, Forest, but his greatest pleasure was being able to build or repair anything he set his mind to. Visitation for Bill will be held on Thursday, April 22nd, 2010 from 5-9pm at the FOREST CHAPEL OF DENNING FUNERAL DIRECTORS (9 James St. S.) with funeral service in the chapel on Friday, April 23rd at 11am. Interment to follow at Beechwood Cemetery. Donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or St. James Presbyterian Church would be greatly appreciated by the family.
