It is with great sadness that we say goodbye to Harold Edwin Robinson who passed peacefully at "La La Land" surrounded by family on October 26th, 2009. Harold was born May 27, 1934 in Exeter to Arthur and Pearl Robinson. Following Pearl's death, Arthur and step-mother Emily Robinson raised Harold and his two brothers pre-deceased Bill (Bessie) and Ray (Jean) Robinson. Survived by sister Katherine (Stuart) Jackson of Alberta. Harold, loving father of Daniel (Wendy) Robinson and Diane (Bill) Haas and step-father to Linda (Patrick) O'Hare, Richard Cassar and Peter (Jackie) Cassar. He will be fondly remembered by grandchildren Bradley (Eliese) Ianni, Keith (Maria) Martin, Daniel (Holly) Haas, Michael Haas, Jamie (Andrea) O'Hare, Elizabeth (Scott) Phelan, Lindsay O'Hare, Sean O'Hare, Bryanda Cassar and Mikayla Evans. He dearly loved and enjoyed his great grandchildren, Braiden & Jade Ianni, Joey & Ashlyn Haas, Victoria and Connor Phelan. Harold will be missed by nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles, extended family members and friends. Harold touched many lives and everyone who knew him will embrace fond memories of time spent with him. In 1994, Harold retired from the London Free Press after 42 years of loyal service. He volunteered in his communities of London and Forest, Ontario. He treasured his time with both the Golden Horseshoe RV Club and his Texas families. Along with his sense of humor and caring heart "Happy" will never be forgotten. Harold will be forever missed by his best friend, companion and wife, Winnifred (Winnie) Robinson (Egan). Harold always found a way to "light up our lives and he made this a wonderful world for all who knew him. He told us that he "Just can't wait to get on the road again".
Our deepest gratitude to Dr Glen Maddison, Judy B. and the Palliative Care Team for their constant support and excellent care of our family during this difficult time of transition.
