Obituary of Ronald Murray

Suddenly on Saturday, September 26th, 2009 at home in Forest surrounded by his family, Ronald Eugene Murray. Ron is survived by his loving wife Joanne Murray (nee Scriver) and by his children Bernie (Peggy) Murray of Corunna, Lori (Alan) Jennings of Forest and Angela (Jamie) Fraser of Brantford. Ron will be sadly missed by grandchildren Derek, Destiny and Meghan Jennings; Erika Murray; Jessalyn and Tucker Fraser. Ron is predeceased by his parents Roger (1991) and Marjorie (2002) Murray and by his mother and father in law Burt (1981) and Lucy (1995) Scriver. Also survived by sisters Pauline (Dave) Wagg, Edith (Ted) Allen, Rita and (Noah) Rowsell, Josie (Rick) Bonnette and predeceased by sister Frances Crooks. Also survived by brothers in law Robert (Edna) Scriver, James (Linda) Scriver, Larry (Susan) Scriver, Rick (Betty) Scriver and Peter (Lois) Scriver. Predeceased by brother and sister in law Lloyd and Marilyn Scriver. Ron was a member of the Rotary, Royal Canadian Legion, Masonic Lodge and Past President of the Forest Minor Hockey Ass. Ron was proud to serve as Councillor, Deputy Reeve and Reeve for the Town of Forest. Ron's favorite hobbies were running, fishing, watching the Sarnia Sting and work. Visitation will be held at the FOREST CHAPEL of Denning Funeral Directors on Monday, September 28th, 2009 from 2-4 and 7-9pm with Mass of Christian Burial on Tuesday, September 29th at 11am at St. Christopher's Catholic Church in Forest. Fr. Gerard Bedard celebrant. Interment to follow at Beechwood cemetery in Forest. Donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be greatly appreciated by the family.
