Obituary of Arlene Douglas

Peacefully at home surrounded by family on Monday, September 21st, 2009. Myrtle "Arlene" Douglas (nee Emery) of Forest passed away in her 77th year. Arlene fought cancer bravely for one and a half years. Beloved wife of John "Jack" Earl Douglas for 54 years. Survived by son Raymond (Brenda) Douglas of Forest , daughter Joan (Wayne) Catt of Warwick Twp., daughter Brenda (Mark) Armitage of Forest and daughter Donna (Doug, 2007) McCormick of Wyoming. Cherished by grandchildren Melina and Jolene Douglas; Josh, Dustin and Spencer Catt; Colton(1988), Callie and Jenna Armitage; Meagan, Brittany, Trevor and Greg McCormick. Predeceased by parents Fred and Winnifred Emery. Survived by sisters in law June Emery, Jean Cook, Shirley (Jim) Kondra and Betty Douglas and brother in law Robert (Betty) Douglas.. Predeceased by brothers Rae Emery and Edwin Emery and by brothers in law Bill Douglas, Burt Cook and Doug Minielly. Arlene was born on February 26th, 1933 in Warwick Township. Visitation will be held at the FOREST CHAPEL of Denning Funeral Directors on Wednesday, September 23rd, 2009 from 2-4 and 7-9pm with Funeral Service to be held at the Forest United Church on Thursday, September 24th, 2009 at 11am.
