Obituary of Alma Jay

PLEASE NOTE VISITATION IS ONLY FROM 7-9pm on Tuesday. Peacefully, at Country Manor Estates in Thedford on Sunday, July 5th, 2009. Alma Marguerite Jay (McFarlane) of Thedford and formerly of Forest in her 98th year. Predeceased by her husband H.J.D. Jay B.A.M.D. in 1969. Alma was a life member of the Forest Legion Auxiliary, life member of the Order of the Eastern Star and a member of St. James Presbyterian Church, Forest. Lovingly remembered by her daughters Patricia (Floyd) Cable of Forest, Dianne (Alan) Anderson of Barry's Bay and Mary (Henry) Rouw of Blyth and daughters in law Pat (McGregor) Jay of Forest and Lyn Webster-Jay-Lavigne of Tottenham. Predeceased by sons John (1983) and Bill (2000). Alma will always be loved and remembered by her 13 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. Dear sister in law of Ruth Jay of Winnipeg. Also survived by several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her sons John (1983) and William (2000). Friends may call at the Forest Chapel of Denning Funeral Directors, 9 James St. S. on Tuesday, July 7th, 2009 from 7-9 pm. A private family service will be conducted. Interment Strathroy cemetery. Order of the Eastern Star under the auspices of Forest Chapter #116 will conduct a memorial service on Tuesday evening at 6:45 pm.
