For the past ten years I have had the honor of being Bonnies son in law.At times she tested my patience. One day Bonnie and I were talking and she said something right off the wall so I told her that she was 65 and could say anything she wanted to say .From that day she reminded everyone that she was 65 and could say whatever she cared to say so she did.Rest in Peace Bonnie.

I was deeply saddened to learn of Bonnie’s passing and I would like to extend my sincere sympathy to the family. As the Manager of Children’s Services at the Elgin Family and Children’s Services until 2001, I had the distinct honour of working with Bonnie in her capacity as a foster parent and President of the FPA. She was a kind-hearted and compassionate woman who provided exceptional care to the children of our community. Her leadership provided strength and guidance to the Elgin’s foster parents and built a positive partnership with the agency to benefit the children in need of care. Bonnie will be missed by all who knew her whose lives were touched by her kindness. My thoughts are with you, Jim Hummel

Dear family , I am so sorry for your loss. I have had the pleasure of being friends with bonnie for the last 16 years , we have laughed , cried and shared all of life's up's and down's with each other . I will truly miss her for the rest of my life. My daughter kaitlynn and I will treasure our blankets always. Bonnie made that special blanket for my daughter katie when she was born. When katie was 2 she called that her aunt bonnie blanket and liked to always have it on her bed.
