Obituary of Gerry Ellerker

Peacefully at LHSC Victoria Campus after a courageous battle against mesothelioma, Gerry Wayne Ellerker of Warwick in his 58th year. Gerry will be dearly missed by his best friend and loving wife Ruth. Survived by loving children Kathie and her husband Adam Kristoferson and Jackie and her fiancé Shane Reid. Gerry is survived by his father Carman and predeceased by his mother Marie (Sitlington) in 1984. Also predeceased by mother and father in law Frank and Beth Smith. Survived by brother Larry and his wife Linda of Brampton. Also survived by brothers and sisters in law Craig and Marg Smith, Ross and JoAnn Smith, Bruce and Shelley Smith and Barb and Mark Dobroski. Gerry will be fondly remembered by many cousins, nieces and nephews. After 36 years of service at Imperial Oil "Complex A" and a lifetime of farming in Warwick Township, many will be missing a cherished friend. Visitation will be held at the Ronn E. Dodge Funeral Home in Forest (James at Watt St.) on Tuesday November 4th, 2008 from 2-4 and 6-9pm. Memorial Service will take place at the Forest United Church (21 James St. North) on Wednesday, November 5th at 1:30pm with Rev. Cathy Larmond officiating. Interment to follow at Beechwood Cemetery. Cremation has taken place. In lieu of flowers, donations to the London Regional Cancer Centre (mesothelioma), or the Forest United Church or charity of choice would be greatly appreciated by the family.
