Obituary of Marieta Smith

SMITH, Marieta Louisa (Smeekens) - of Plympton-Wyoming passed away peacefully at Bluewater Health on Sunday, January 15th, 2012 in her 51st year. Loving wife of Brian Smith. Dear mother of Heather (Ben), Daniel and Kevin (Kelli). Daughter of Case and the late Adriana Smeekens (2006). Marieta will be dearly missed by her sisters and brother, Jenny and Curt Sloan , Frank Smeekens, Connie and Steve Marshall, Wilma and Leon Zerko, JoAnne and Scott Marshall and Laurette and Ron Jones. Daughter-in-law of Don and Helen Smith. Marieta was a special sister-in-law to Janice Smith and Ron King, Sheila and Dennis Kerrigan, Wendy and Brad Wilson and Shana Smith. Cherished aunt of many nieces and nephews. The family wishes to thank the staff of the Regional Cancer Clinic at London Health Sciences Centre, Palliative Medicine at Bluewater Health and the V.O.N. (Ellen and Joyce) for their compassionate care. We also thank Dr. Dostaler for her dedication and for always supporting and advocating for Marieta. Family and friends will be received at St. Christopher's Church in Forest, 68 Union St. on Wednesday, January 18th, 2012 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Christopher's Church on Thursday, January 19th, 2012 at 11am. Father Gerard Bedard officiating. Interment Beechwood Cemetery.
