Obituary of Elmer Angus MacLean
At Fairfield Park Nursing Home, Wallaceburg on Wednesday, January 2nd, 2019, Elmer Angus MacLean, originally of Kenaston, Saskatchewan, passed away peacefully in his sleep, in his 91st year. Father of Laurie MacLean and Marla Veenstra (MacLean). Grandfather of Matthew and Joel Veenstra. Survived by his sisters Jackie Harvey of Manitoba, and Joannie Humphreys of Saskatchewan. Predeceased by his parents John “Jack” and Elizabeth MacLean, sisters Marion Truckle, and Leone Gerolomy, and son-in-law Jim Veenstra. Elmer is also survived by several nieces and nephews. Elmer was a commercial insulator with the Asbestos Workers Local 95 for his entire career. He was a member of both Standardbred Canada, and the Ontario Harness Horse Association; racing throughout Western Canada and Ontario. A private family interment will be held in Dresden Cemetery.
