Anthony Sanders

Obituary of Anthony Sanders

On Friday June 29, 2018 Anthony "Tony" "Wheels" Sanders stood up and ran off into the great beyond at age 64.  Born March 30 1954, Anthony lived a true inspirational love story with  the love of his life Cathy (nee Klaver) for 41 years.  Together they raised two daughters Jennifer (Ryan) Woodiwiss and Nicole (Matthew) Beselaere.  Anthony the very proud Opa to Tyler, Samantha, Addison, Mason and Connor.  Anthony is survived by his siblings; Martin (Carol), Mary Bos (Pete), Janet (Gerd), Joan Feenstra (Dirk), Paul (Bernie), his in-laws; the late Simon Klaver (Carole) , John Klaver (Daphne), Willy Klaver (Nancy), Ann Toth (Tom), Alida Eagleden (Don), Mary Hoogstra (Pete), Peter Klaver (Sherrie), Tony Klaver (Terri).  He will be missed by many nieces and nephews.  He will be met by his parents Martin and Antonia (nee Kusters) Sanders and Neil and Mary Klaver. Anthony will also be missed by many more family, friends and golfers at Caradoc Sands. He has left a huge hole in the many lives he touched.  He left a positive impact and impression on everyone who was fortunate enough to meet him.  The world is truly a better place because he was in it.

Anthony was a man of few words, who loved his wife, daughters and family unconditionally and lived his life to the fullest.  He always had a smile on his face and a kind word or gesture for everyone he met.  He enjoyed the simple things around him and never took anything for granted.  He overcame many obstacles and hardships during his life, but never once allowed them to be barriers or define him.  Anthony played basketballs with his daughters, attended many sports and events for his grandkids, swam, water tubed, water skied, rode roller coasters, parasailed, traveled to Europe and many island vacations. He loved his job and all the people and friends he made.

Anthony was a man who looked up at most people while he looked them in the eye to greet them with a firm handshake, but what he did not realize is that most people looked up to him.   He was an inspiration to all he met and left an enormous impact on many.

In lieu of flowers the family is requesting donations towards the AED program c/o Middlesex London Paramedic Services.  In hopes our loss may save the life of another.
