Obituary of Jack Falkins
Peacefully, surrounded by his loving family, on Wednesday, June 20, 2018, John “Jack” William Gordon Falkins, formerly of Rodney, passed away at Babcock Community Care Centre, Wardsville, at the age of 86. Beloved husband of Joyce Lorraine (née Tustin). Loving father of Darlene Starks (late Wes, 2004) of Sprucegrove, Alberta, Richard (Carol-Ann) Falkins of West Lorne, Diane (John) Verbruggan of Port Stanley, late Kenneth Falkins (1987), William Falkins of Rodney, Nancy (Bud) Miller of Rodney, Cheri (John) Knapp of Wardsville and Jo-Anne Falkins (Rob Kerr) of Strathroy. Cherished grandfather of many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. Survived by brother-in-law, Reno VanRaes. Predeceased by his parents, John Falkins and Elsie Dorthea (née Clever) and siblings, David (2008) and Jim Falkins (1990) and Jean VanRaes (2012). Relatives and friends will be received at DENNING’S OF RODNEY, 212 Furnival Road, Rodney (519-785-0810) on Friday, June 22nd from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. where the Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, June 23, 2018 at 11 a.m. Visitation will precede the Service from 10 – 10:45 a.m. Interment in Rodney Cemetery. A Memorial Service will be conducted at the funeral home by the Royal Canadian Legion Br. 525 on Friday evening at 6:45 p.m. If desired, donations by cheque to the Salvation Army or Parkinson’s Society would be appreciated by the family.
