Obituary of John Goldsmith

Goldsmith, Mr. John Ross Peacefully passed away at Strathroy Middlesex General Hospital on Monday, December 26, 2011, in his 95th year. He will be lovingly remembered by his children Alice (Earl) Thomas, Ruth Bryce, Doug (Sandra) Goldsmith, Ron (Marg) Goldsmith, Lois (Peter) Wonnacot, Paul (Melanie) Goldsmith, and his son in law Gord Greer (late Olave), and his 15 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren as well as special friend Margaret Haldane. John was born in Warwick in 1917 and was the son of the late Olave Goldsmith (nee Lanstroth) and the late Arthur Goldsmith. John was predeceased by his infant daughter Kay, his step mother Mary Jane Goldsmith (nee Sadler), his stepsister Jean Goldsmith, his first wife Mabel (nee Shea), and his second wife Doris (nee Hart), his grandson Jeffery Goldsmith, and his daughter Olave Greer (nee Goldsmith). Friends may call at the WATFORD CHAPEL OF DENNING FUNERAL DIRECTORS, 232 Warwick Street, Watford, on Wednesday, December 28, 2011, from 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm & 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm. A Funeral Service will be held at the chapel on Thursday, December 29, 2011 at 11:00am with Rev. Dr. Christine O'Reilly officiating. Interment to follow at Arkona Cemetery.
