Hi Family,
It's been two weeks today since our beloved Barbara Ann left us to go to heaven. I've been struggling as most of us are and wanting to put something here for everyone to see once this is put together. I heard this today on the radio and loved the lyrics and I think we all will but especially Barb. xxoo MC
Tell me, what does it look like in heaven? Is it peaceful? Is it free like they say? Does the sun shine bright forever?
Have your fears and your pain gone away?
Cause here on earth it feels like everything good is missing since you left.
And here on earth everything's different, there's an emptiness.
I hope you're dancing in the sky; I hope your're singing in the angel's choir; I hope the angles know what they have
I'll bet it's so nice up in heaven since you arrived
So tell me, what do you do up in heaven? Are your days filled with love and light? Is there music? Is there art and invention? Tell me are you happy? Are you more alive?
I hope you're dancing in the sky; I hope your're singing in the angel's choir; I hope the angles know what they have
I'll bet it's so nice up in heaven since you arrived......since you arrived.

Barbara Anne was so much more than just a fellow teacher to me. She was a wonderful friend who always gave me support when I needed it. Her commitment to and love of her students was a quality that attracted me to her, not just as a colleague but as a friend. There were many times when we would brainstorm and compare strategies, trying to find ways to help a child learn in a way best suited to their strengths. We enjoyed every St. Benedict school mass as it gave us a chance to work together with the choir students, and celebrate God’s love of us all. Barbara Anne demonstrated such love and caring for everyone that she met, and her shining light will be forever missed. May she find joy and peace now that she is back in the arms of her dear sister and all the family and friends that have been waiting for her in the House of our Lord.

Remembering Barbara Ann, a poem:
Girlish delight in teasing her brother, John, making plans to take care of beloved Amy and be a little mischievous with Marie, my dear friend.
Splitting an arancini, having a bite of each other’s gnocchi, my dear friend.
Celebrating Christmas, going all out at the home farm, conversations, music & decorations artfully arranged, my dear friend.
Watching “It’s a Wonderful Life” with our boyfriend Jimmy Stewart on the Big Screen and sharing popcorn, my dear friend.
Spending a day together talking about how to build a community and realizing dreams, talking for hours and hours with time disappearing and its night-time, my dear friend.
Sharing an artichoke, double mushroom, double asiago and goat cheese pizza with Danielle while giving instructions to her library goddesses, my wonderful friend.
Eugene & Barb’s “Sinking of the Titanic”, a realization, student’s characters well-studied, dress rehearsal and then the library stateroom dinner conclusion, my dear friend.
Having dear Nakina bosom buddies, a circle of fellow teachers and her best bosom friend, Kay as close friends, my dear friend.
Plans for a special quilt for the farm, plaids and reds, maple leaf resplendent waiting to be sewn with Debbie, my dear friend.
Dancing and singing, holding conversations with angels and talking to God about changing the world, my dear, dear and beautiful friend.
Tyne

I want to extend my deepest sympathy to the Ingratta family.I was in shock and disbelief to hear the sad news of her passing.I am so grateful to have met Barb and remembering those precious times of working together at Mother Teresa School. The school will never be quite the same without her, she was part of the heart and soul of the school. She was a generous, genuine, and positive a person that always looked at the brighter side of life. She very much cared for her students, friends, and family.I will never forget that great smile on her face whenever she would ask me to show her pictures of my grandchildren on my phone.I feel like I have lost a member of my own family, but deep in my heart I know she has gone to a better place of peace, joy and filled with God`s love.
I will miss you!

My dearest Barb,
We met in 1989 at Mother Teresa C.S. You had the gift for reading and writing. for any staff member that left you would write them a song titled So Long and have us sing it to them at their farewell gathering. Well here is my attempt at writing one for you,
Here is to Barbara our final farewell
The heavens are waiting and ringing their bell
Well done good and faithful servant here on earth
our Lord is awaiting for you to go forth.
and it's
so long, it has been good to know you, so long, it has been good to know you
so long, it has been good to know you, so long, farewell, we'll see you one day
always remember your York Catholic friends.
Rest easy Barb.

My sincere condolences to Barbara Ann’s family.
I worked with Barbara Ann for a few years in Markham and then was hosted by the gracious Amy when I taught in West Lorne. I came to understand that the beauty of Barbara Ann lay in that small south western farming town of Rodney. Practical, brilliant and hospitable— she was/ is what makes Ingratta’s strong. I will miss her more than words, too deep for words. She was/is a steadfast and true friend of the heart.

Mrs.Ingratta was the best, she taught my two older brothers and myself. Everyone was always speaking of her, no matter where you went; she left her mark.
Mrs.Ingratta was the best teacher I ever had. To me she was more than a teacher, she was like my second mother. She cared so much about our success and developing a love for learning. She was able to connect with the students in a way no one else could. She truly was an angel sent by God. Although he has now called her to her rightful heavenly home, I will miss her greatly. I have learned so much from her and I will never ever forget her. I love you Mrs. Ingratta. Rest peacefully with the Father. Now you are painfree and at peace. God bless you beautiful angel.
Love always your student,
Leilani
