Obituary of Mildred M. MacKellar

MacKELLAR, Mildred M. - Our mom passed away on Thursday April 5th, 2018 at the age of 89 years. Predeceased by her loving husband Ken of 68 years and her parents Mary L. Neilson and Merritt H. Neilson. Survived by her loving kids Beth Hunter, Kathy (Ted) Holmes, Sandy (Phil) Countryman, Dugal (Faith) MacKellar. Grandkids Chad (Cheryl) Hunter, Eric (Jaimie) Hunter, Meghan (Dallas) Urivin, Pat (Tara) Holmes, David Countryman, Lisa (Gary) St. Pierre, Ashley (Casey) Stover, Cody (Julia MacKellar). 15 Great Grandkids and one on the way. Son in law Don (Linda) Hunter. Brothers Roger (Late Cherie) Neilson, Garry (Betty) Neilson. Sister Donna (Late Pat) Gannon and many nieces and nephews. Mom was a member of Sprucedale United Church. Mom enjoyed playing her keyboard organ for many years, gardening, reading, needlepoints, quilting, puzzles, and having her family around her. Lots of family get togethers over the years, so many laughs and great memories. In past years mom was a bookkeeper at Wheels Motor Inn and Ford Equipment in Chatham and so enjoyed her work there. We know Dad and “Jesse” will take good care of our mom. They are all together now and we miss them all so very much. Special Thanks to Dr. Bailey, staff at CKHA, neighbours and Rev. Paul McPhail for his prayers for our Mom. At Mom's request there will be no visitation and cremation has taken place. A private family memorial will take place at a later date.
