Obituary of William Laird

On Friday, January 24, 2014, it is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of our father and grandfather, William (Bill) Laird of West Lorne in his 76th year. Predeceased by his loving and committed wife of 50 years, Alice (nee Lacroix) in 2012. Precious father of Deborah Laird of St. Thomas, Cindy and her husband Lorne Van Breda of West Lorne and Kimberly Laird-Utley of Chatham. Adored grandfather of Casaundra (BJ) and Chelsey (Derek) Van Breda, Lindsay Attridge, Vanessa and Victoria Utley and great grandfather of Tayvin, Tristan and Tianna Huguenin. Bill was expecting to meet his 4th great grandchild, due to arrive in July. Also survived by many nieces and nephews and lovingly remembered by his special sister in law and brother in law , Clara and Fred Fleming. Predeceased by his parents Ian (1952) and Helen (Forshee)(1993) and his brother Jack (2007). Friends may call at the WEST LORNE CHAPEL OF DENNING FUNERAL DIRECTORS on Monday, January 27th, 2014 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. Funeral service will be held at the chapel on Tuesday at 2 pm.
