Dear family,
I am very sorry for the loss of Jenneke, your mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. I was a very young flower girl at the wedding of Tante Jennie en Oom Piet. While I don't remember the event, their wedding picture shows they were a beautiful couple. I do remember my visit at Easter-time 1966, when Opa Piet was there as well. It was a fun time, and their generosity and warm hospitality were remarkable. Tante Jenneke well loved her family, including those who remained in The Netherlands. I appreciate that she always stayed in touch by faithfully writing and calling, especially on birthdays, to hear how things were going and to share what she and her family had been up to. May beautiful memories comfort you. You are in my thoughts.
