I can't say for certain this was the kind teacher I was looking for, but incase my Ashley Gale was Your Ashley Gale, I wanted to say hello.
I was in grade 2 when I met my Ashley Gale. Her name even sounded like a fairy name and I was all about fairies. She was kind and patient. She taught me how to spell "buoyancy" as well as showed me I didn't have to add on any extra sparkle to myself to be amazing.
I remember how we raced through the forest on our summer celebration day to see that even Senorita Gale had shown up :)
I really truly did love her oh so very dearly and thought of her far more often than this little message could demonstrate.
I guess what I'm trying to get across here, is that both of our Ashley Gale(s) made so many beautiful, powerful ripples.
I went looking for a beloved teacher who I haven't reached out to in years, as I hadn't yet learned my name, and I came across this and a potentially empty "linked in" profile. Grade 2 was made an inspiring and invigorating chapter to my journey of lifelong learning which she absolutely encouraged in me.
I remember our class was so sad to see her go as her temp contract collided with the maternity leave of another teacher.
Our Gayle (I always thought that looked fancier) will keep shining through us as we follow in her loving footsteps.

The family, I am so sorry for your tragis loss. I don't have to tell you how great your daughter/sister was. You know. She was sweet and feisty and smart. But most of all she was kind.
