Obituary of Archie Pedden

With sadness, the family of Archie Pedden announces his passing at University Hospital, London on Wednesday, January 7th, 2015 in his 90th year. Archie is the much loved husband of Dorothy (Topping) and mother of Carole Meyers (Robert). He is predeceased by his son, Archie L. (1993) (Brenda Pedden-Boyce). Survived by four grandchildren, Pam Breckles, Archie Pedden, Shelly Meyers and Kimberly Phillips (Chris) and eight great-grandchildren. Survived by sister, Pearl Elliott and sisters-in-law Doris Denning (Bill) and Ruby Clark. Predeceased by sister Margaret Butler Jowett (2005) and brother-in-law Bud Clark (2012). A life member of Beaver #83, Masonic Lodge and Beaver Chapter #74 in Strathroy and a member a Strathocha Shrine Club in Strathroy. Archie was to receive his 60 year Past Master pin from Beaver Lodge. He was a former member of the Ontario Agriculture Research Council and a life member of the Ontario Agricultural Hall of Fame Association. Visitation will be held at Denning Bros. Funeral Home, Strathroy on Friday, January 9th, 2015 from 2-4 and 7-9pm. Funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Saturday at 2 pm. Interment Strathroy cemetery. A Masonic service will be held on Friday at 4 pm under the auspices on Beaver Lodge # 83 A.F & A.M. If desired, memorial contributions to the Alzheimer’s Society or Strathroy Hospital would be appreciated as your expression of sympathy.
