Obituary of William Ronald Smith

SMITH: William Ronald ``Ron`` - Suddenly at home on Tuesday, November 4th, 2014 Ronald “Ron” Smith passed away at the age of 87. Loving husband of Lyla Clark-Smith and the late Bette Smith (2000). Generous and caring dad of Dawn Button and her partner Ross Andrews, Stewart and Lori Smith, Tom Clark and his fiancée Sue Diguer, Vicki Clark, and Linda and Bill Nugent; Ron is predeceased by his son William. Proud grandpa of Tracy, Ryan, Jennifer, Shawn, Michael, Jeremy, Angie, John, David, William and Charles. Ron will also be fondly remembered by several great grandchildren, many nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends. Friends and family will be received at Denning Bros. Funeral Home, 32 Metcalfe Street West, Strathroy, on Friday, November 7, 2014 from 2-4pm and 7-9pm, where a Memorial Service will be held on Saturday afternoon at 1pm. Interment to follow in Strathroy Cemetery. Donations in Ron’s memory may be made to the Salthaven Wildlife and Education Centre, The Salvation Army or a charity of your choice.
