Obituary of Mary Margaret MacDougall

Peacefully passed away at the age of 99 surrounded by her loving family on October 3, 2014 at Chelsey Park Nursing Home, London. Mary was born April 13, 1915, in Florence, Ontario. She leaves a loving family and will be sadly missed by her son Murray (Carole) and daughter Donna Trew (Late Walter 2014). Cherished grandmother of Wayne, Lisa, Julie, Alison, Lorna, Marci, Michelle and their spouses and family. Proud great-grandmother of 12 great-grandchildren who they share very happy memories. Mary is predeceased by her beloved husband Lorne (1996), her parents John and Alice Beatty, brothers Calvin and Jack, sister Marjorie Rippin and her infant granddaughter Tracy Trew. She was a proud member of the Ladies Auxilliary of the Royal Canadian Legion in Forest for many years. Quilting was her passion. Many quilts were sewn for family members, as well as with the church ladies in Forest and Parkhill. Mary was always interested in politics and current events. She enjoyed working on election days during numerous Federal and Provincial elections. The family would like thank the staff at Huronview Home for the Aged and the Chelsey Park for their care in the last three years. A Funeral service will be held at the FOREST CHAPEL OF DENNING FUNERAL DIRECTORS on Tuesday, October 7, 2014 at 2p.m with an hour prior visitation. As expressions of sympathy, donations may be made to the St. James Presbyterian Church, Forest. Online condolences may be made at denning.ca.
