Obituary of James Patton Ferguson

Ferguson, James- Peacefully passed at Strathroy Middlesex General Hospital, surrounded by his sons on Thursday September 10th, 2014 in his 92nd year. Beloved husband of the late Florence Ferguson for 56 loving years (2012). Loving father to William of Kerwood, David of Strathroy and Scott (Jackie) of Carstairs, Alberta. Dear brother to Mary Pincombe of Strathroy. Predeceased by infant son James and his parents W.L and Mary Ferguson. Predeceased by siblings William, Robert, Jean, and Donald. Jim was born in Peterborough, Ontario and moved to Strathroy in 1944 with his father to operate the Strathroy Woollen Mill. Jim then ran the first ready mixed concrete plant in Strathroy, which ultimately became Lafarge facility, until his retirement. Visitation will be held on Friday September 12th, 2014 from 5-9p.m. A masonic service will be held at 6:30p.m in the chapel. A funeral service will be held on Saturday September 13th at 11a.m at Denning Bros. Funeral Home, Strathroy. Interment to follow at Strathroy Cemetery.
