I am sending belated sympathy to Mary's family. I am from Napanee & our family & Mary's were neighbours; My Mom & Margaret were members of same Women's Institute & very close friends. Spent many hrs at McCarten home, Mary & I shared a birthday, though she was 5 yrs older, we both went to same one room school house.
I regret that I did not attempt to make contact before; another friend, Catherine Ball Willock had been wondering about Mary & that led to my search. Another friend that Mary may have mentioned was Jean Dennison.
