Obituary of Elizabeth Steele

Peacefully at LHSC (Victoria Campus) with her family by her side on Friday, October 25, 2013, Elizabeth Carolyn (Betty) Steele of Bothwell and formerly Strathroy passed away, in her 78th year. Beloved partner of Dave Gillan. Loving mother of Vicky Shields (late Bill 2011), Debbie Steele, John Steele (Joanne), Susan Jakimczuk (John), Patti Gillan (Kevin Baltzer), Carolyn Stewardson (Kevin), Bob Steele, and Jason Steele (Jennifer). Predeceased by her daughter Diane Head (2012) (Steve). Proud grandmother of 25 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren. Survived by her sisters Bernice Collins (late Bruce), Marie Chisan, Donna Mader (Leonard), Linda Herrington, and Sharon Wilson (Robert), and her brothers Roy Herrington (Barb), Ken Herrington (Marilyn), and Jim Herrington (Linda). Survived by many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents Donald and Mable Herrington and her brother Douglas Herrington. Cremation has taken place. Family and friends will be received at Denning Bros. Funeral Home, Strathroy on Wednesday, October 30th from 12 p.m. until time of Memorial Service at 1 p.m. In memory of Betty, donations may be made to the Kidney Foundation.
