What a wonderful woman Marg was!I I often met Marg and her little Maisie on my morning walk to work. Marg always had a ready smile and some positive words to share. She was even kind enough to drop off a Christmas card at my place of work that first year! Marg was a small but mighty source of goodness and kindness. She will be missed. My sympathy to you all, including her dear little Maisie.

To Marg’s Kids & GrandKids :
Rob, Kari, Katrina, Kameron, Brooke & Lauren
We are so very sorry for your loss. We are going to miss her so very much, especially as time passes.
After living next door to your Mom/Grandma for over 20 years, we can tell you that so many in our neighbourhood will miss her terribly.
From Spring through to Fall, her house was the house on the block where everyone stopped to chat.
During the Winter months, she did try to semi-hibernate (as many people do) but she did take Maisie for her daily walks. She would also be sure to drop off a box of her home baked Christmas cookies and her delicious homemade fudge.
Today, the neighbourhood seems quiet. The foot traffic has definitely dropped off. I’ve not heard Maisie, at all this week (I assume she is gone to her new home). I even think the squirrels & the birds can tell she is gone (of course that might be because your Mom/Grandma always fed them both),
So just like the wildlife she loved and cared for, we too will settle back into our lives without Marg (& Maisie) being next door, but we will never forget her (or Maisie)

Sorry to hear this sad news.Margaret was our family friend and neighbour for many years ..our farms almost next door and we shared many a happy hour playing with Kari and Rob swimming gocarting and horseriding..Margaret was always near by and hosted our family on occassion...of course she drove the highschool bus many times past our house and stopped in the road by our dog whiskey...recently we loved her calls to Newfoundland and all the news she shared from home. We will miss those calls now more then ever..Love to the family ..she was the best! Kimberly and family

I met Marg years ago while walking my dogs, and from the very first time we crossed paths, I knew she was someone special. With her beloved Macie by her side, our sidewalk chats would quite honestly make my morning, and my dogs, as she would always carry treats. Marg was always smiling—one of those rare people who seemed to radiate warmth and kindness wherever she went.. No matter what kind of morning it was, I never heard her complain, not once. Strathroy lost a beauty, she was a wonderful lady and will be missed. Rest in peace Marg. Sheri, Scott, Harvey & Hallie

Marg was a beautiful icon in our neighbourhood and she will be missed immensely by all of us on Burns street, she kept and eye on all of us, and we enjoyed seeing her & Maisy daily. She encouraged everyone to keep moving and she truly lived that. We will always have the reminder of her so long as we see the Bear & cub tree carved in the side yard at her place. RIP Marg you will be missed
