Celebration of Becky's Life
Obituary of Becky McKeen
It is with great sadness that the family of Rebecca (Becky) McKeen (Johnson) announce her passing on Wednesday, October 30, 2024, at the age of 49 years young.
Cherished wife and best friend of Jason McKeen for 29 years. Their life-long relationship started as friendship in elementary school, dating in high school, and in 1995 married and had 2 children.
Becky was a devoted and caring mother to their son’s, Tristan and Jacob.
Predeceased by her parents, Ed (“Hippie”) and Louise (“Flower”) Johnson. Forever remembered by her siblings Wes, Mamie and Karla (Nelson).
Lovingly remembered by Stan and Mary McKeen, and her brothers-in-law, Jamie, Justin and Jeff (Rita) McKeen.
She is missed by her nieces and nephews; Meghan (Gage), Issac, Silas, Nola, Victoria, Cooper and Bentley, and great-nephew, Ryder.
Becky was a loving and kind wife, mother, daughter, sister and friend. She cared deeply for all those who were lucky enough to be part of her life.
From the moment Becky learned how to walk, she was on the go. She will remain in the hearts of so many people, including her community of friends, family and “karaoke crew”. She loved organizing and participating in karaoke events, and recently started DJing at various local functions. It brought her great joy that her son, Tristan, shared her love for karaoke. Becky was an avid reader and enjoyed curling up on the couch with a good book whenever she got the chance, loved crocheting and using her Cricut machine and printer to make gifts for family and friends, and products to sell locally. Becky and Jason also shared common interests such as going to Comicon and festivals.
A celebration of Becky's life will be held at the Strathroy Lions Club, 432 Albert Street, Strathroy, on Friday, November 8, 2024, from 6:00 pm to 11:00 pm.
In tribute to Becky, the evening will include some live music, karaoke and supporting friendship.
In memory of Becky, whenever you hear your favourite song, sing it loud like no one is listening.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Special Olympics Ontario/London, would be greatly appreciated by the family.
Cremation has taken place.
