Martha was born in the town of Liessel in the Netherlands. Together with her parents and three siblings she immigrated to Canada in 1955. Martha stayed connected to her Dutch roots through her family and friends. Martha’s family was the most important thing in the world to her. She never tired of seeing her relatives. The more the merrier.
