Obituary of Jean Lucy Stella Prout

It is with a heavy heart that we announce the peaceful passing of Jean Lucy Stella Prout (nee Amaley) in her 87^th year on Sunday May 12, 2024, at North Lambton Lodge.  Cherished wife of 62 years to James.  Loving mother of William (Isabel), the late John, and Joe (Kim).  Devoted Nana of John, Selena, Wyatt, Marissa and Great Nana of Jace.  Jean was a devoted and loving Foster Mother of Karen Waller, Duffy Windover, Al MacDonald and Jason Fletcher.  Jean will be dearly missed by her brothers, sisters, nieces, nephews, family and many friends.

Jean kindly dedicated her time by helping many people and organizations throughout her life including The Catholic Women’s League of Canada (CWL), The Canadian Cancer Society, Ontario Children Aid Societies (CASs) along with accompanying many senior citizens to various appointments.

Friends will be received at Dennings of Forest, 9 St. James St., on Thursday May 16, 2024, from 1-3 p.m. & 6-8 p.m.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday May 17, 2024, at St. Christopher’s Catholic Church, 68 Union St., Forest, at 11:00 a.m. a private family interment will be held. 

Donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family.
