Obituary of Rick Sura
Richard “Rick” Sura
After a courageous battle with cancer on May 7, 2024, Rick Sura passed away in his 78th year. Rick was the very proud father of Vicky Sura. Rick will be missed dearly by his mother Julia Sura. He is survived by his sister Sandy McIntyre. He is also survived by his niece and nephews Wayne (Kelly-Anne) and Katie McIntyre, and Darby Degraw, and his great-nephew Alec McIntyre. Rick was predeceased by his father Alex Sura and his sister Tena Sura.
Rick was a car fanatic; he especially loved his Mustangs. Rick worked for Ford Motor Company for a number of years. He was a big 60s Motown fan. Rick had an incredible memory and proudly shared his many stories with anyone who would listen.
Rick’s family would like to extend a very special thank you to his cousin John Sura and his very good friend Edna Lee for their care and support.
In keeping with Rick’s wishes, cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
In memory of Rick, donations may be made to Continuing Complex Care at St. Thomas Elgin General Hospital.
