Hi Wendy! I’m so sorry for your loss. I didn’t know Bob well … I think he was leaving Sing Out when I was coming in. But I always heard lots of stories! Congratulations on so many years of marriage & a full family life. I have such great memories of you & our college years. Hitchhiking to school, etc. (Boy, has Fanshawe ever grown!) I remember the day I met you when I was there for my college interview. About May 1971. I moved to Calgary in 1980 & now retired in Sylvan Lake, 90 min N of Calgary. I’ll be in London in late August. My heart aches with the news of Bob’s sudden passing. It’s been many years since I‘ve seen both Bob and Wendy. I have many fond memories of the early 1970’s from Sing Out London and the wonderful friendships that were made. We have many memories of spending time with Bob at all the kids hockey games back in the day and sharing rides to all the various arenas I especially remember the trip to Bancroft for the OMHA finals where I rode on the bus with Bob and the great conversations we had. He was such an easy going, good natured man!

I have some very early memories of Bob. I can recall inheriting my first pair of ice skates from the Woolsey family. He has always been a helper. The greatest thing someone can offer is their time and Bob was always there for our family. I know he was also immensely proud of his own family, for good reason. He would talk about their endeavours and immediately smile. He was remarkably intelligent, not just technically - you could tell by the way he chose his words carefully. This world needs a lot more Bob’s in it… I take comfort in trusting those that knew him will pay it forward.

I had the pleasure of working with Bob over many years in multimedia. His professionalism in the many projects we worked on made him the only video editor that I would work with. Even after very long hours in the edit studio he never lost his sense of humour. The success I had with my projects was on account of his skill and creative abilities. Programmes we produced together went on to be broadcast in 26 countries in six different languages …. I send my heartfelt sympathies to his entire family
