Obituary of Jim Coleman
Coleman, James Malcolm
With heavy hearts, we share the sudden and unexpected passing of James Malcolm Coleman, fondly known as Jim, on Tuesday, April 23rd, 2024. Born on September 18, 1971, in Sarnia, Jim was the beloved first-born of his parents, James and Denise Coleman.
Jim leaves behind a void that will never be filled, deeply mourned by his cherished soulmate, Kim Coleman. Their bond, a testament to enduring love and unwavering friendship, remains a beacon of light amidst sorrow.
His legacy lives through his son, Tyler (Tori) Coleman, and his granddaughters; Teghan and Tenley Coleman, who held a special place in Jim’s heart, forever securing his affectionate nickname, "Grandpa." His “girls” were his world. We honour Jim's grandson, Cody, who preceded him in death.
Jim was also a beloved big brother to Joe (Genn) Coleman and Wendy Coleman. They have never known a life without him, treasuring the laughter-filled family vacations, the exhilarating ski days where Jim patiently taught them tricks, and the serene beach days at Blue Point and Sauble, that will now never be the same.
In remembrance, we honour, as well as his in-laws, Joan and Paul Schultz, brother-in-law Kevin (Sharon) Schultz, Grandma Dorcas Debus, goddaughter Mackenzie Schultz, and the wider circle of nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, and uncles who shared in his life.
Jim dedicated over two decades to his role as Director of Business Analytics at Peavy Mart (formerly TSC), embodying diligence and ambition in every endeavour. He dreamt of retirement in the near future, envisioning precious moments travelling with Kim, crafting memories with his granddaughters, and basking in the warmth of Sauble Beach sands.
Jim's unwavering commitment to family and friends leaves an indelible mark. Whether shuttling to hockey practices or lending a hand with household projects, his presence was a constant source of support and love.
To honour his memory, contributions to Heart & Stroke Foundation or Teghan and Tenley's education fund are gratefully appreciated in lieu of flowers. Jim's spirit will forever resonate, a beacon of love and light in our hearts
Please join us in honouring Jim on Tuesday, April 30th, from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. at Caradoc Sands Golf Course. A heartfelt remembrance will be shared at 2:00p.m., during a reception featuring cocktails and hors d'oeuvres..
