Obituary of Andree Marie Grandjean
Gone to sow a garden of love in heaven.
Momma G., Grandma G., Best Mother ever. Andrée.
Our family was struck with the most devastating news in January 2024 when Mom was diagnosed with end stage cancer.
Her four daughters knew how to make her life legacy and departure the most peaceful and blessed. Momma G’s last days and moments were surrounded by love, joy, laughter, stories, a wedding to her long time life partner Gary, self care, special experiences and waterfalls of tears.
Momma G has joined her beloved husband and father of her children, Jean Marie Grandjean in heaven. The moment she passed, two cardinals met and joined in the backyard and flew away together.
Together in the skies above, Andrée and Jean M. Grandjean (Frenchie) will be watching and continuing to support and love their daughters; Celine, Natacha, Brigitte and Nathalie.
Grandma G passed away in her home, surrounded by love in the arms of Celine, Natacha, Brigitte and Nathalie.
Andrée leaves behind her life long partner Gary Ford who will never be forgotten. Andrée was surrounded by the love of many grandchildren, friends and family.
Grandma G had a magical bond with her amazing grandchildren; Riley George (stay colourful), Bailey George (take me around the world Gros Bisous), Bela Pontas (love you my rock), Aubrey Cosens (mon petite Chou), Sean Kilmer (you take care of your Mom’s), Kai Kilmer (proud of your accomplishments), Jason Ford (take an adventure with Gary and take good care of him).
She leaves behind a very special canine that adored Grandma G. “Russell the muscle” will be left in the loving care of Brigitte.
Andrée Marie Grandjean was born on September 1st, 1947 in Quebec. She is the daughter of Pearl Leclerc (Trudel) and Arsené Leclerc. Survived by her sister Hugette. Predeceased by Carol, Lisette and Claude. Much loved Aunt of Chantale Coulombe.
Mom and her children have many amazing memories of her sister-in-law Monique Leclerc and her children Sylvie, Linda, Stefane and Eric.
Momma G’s love and care will also be greatly missed by her children’s spouses and supports; Christina Kilmer, Jeff Mirth (Blue eyes), Cassidy Lawrence and Andy Evans (Sarge) whom she always welcomed into the family wholeheartedly.
She was grateful for the many friendships she created in her neighbourhood while watching the children play outdoors on Peach Ave. A blessed memory Grandma G will take with her is the last loving hugs of the neighbourhood children. Her front porch was her oasis. Her backyard flower and vegetable gardens were her greatest source of pride and joy.
We love this strong, capable, independent and generous woman who lived life with an open heart.
We will live each day honouring Andrée; our mother, grandmother and loving wife. Gone yet not forgotten, although we are apart, your spirit lives with in us, forever in our hearts.
