Obituary of Clifford Martin Ashton
CLIFF ASHTON
Cliff passed away at his home with his loving wife Lauree and cherished daughter Elizah by his side. He is survived by his wonderful sisters Shirley Magoffin and Karen Currah. Also, his sons Stuart, Jason and Garet. Granddaughters and grandson Emma (Kevin), Finn, Rachel, Lily and Erin. He is also survived by nieces, nephews and Dodge his chocolate lab and constant companion, and Reese and Camo.
Cliff is predeceased by his mother Gertie and father Don of Aylmer.
Cliff lived at the farm in Aylmer for 63 years where he pursued many hobbies. He talked of rabbit hunting in his early years with his sister Karen and what fun they had.
Cliff was a dedicated deer and turkey hunter and had many personal trophies as a result.
Bow and arrow competitions and hunting, making maple syrup and wood working were all part of his passions. In later years he loved to grow a vegetable garden with LOTS of corn. Unfortunately, sometimes the summer weather was not conducive to the growing season.
We all will miss you dearly and salute you with a rye and coke as you toast on to the next world and your new adventurs.
Thank you to St. Thomas, University, and Victoria Hospitals for all the care, compassion and professionalism you showed Cliff.
Big thank you go out to the palliatives team from Care Partners. You are an amazing group of people! Also, to the many people from Closing the Gap.
Family and friends will be received at DENNING’S of RODNEY on March 29, 2024, with visitation 12 pm – 1pm. A Celebration of Life will start at 1 pm.
We will all miss you dearly as you move on.
