Obituary of Walter Duister

Suddenly at home, on Wednesday, March 20, 2024, Walter "Walt" Duister of Strathroy, passed away in his 81st year.

Loving father to Chad and William of the UK. Dearest brother of Lena (the late Hank) Brand, Jenny Flynn, Bert and Marlene Duister. Dear brother-in-law to Cathy Duister (the late Jake). "Uncle Wally" to eighteen nieces and nephews.

Predeceased by his parents, Leendert and Elisabeth, and siblings Leo and Cora Duister, Ann and Bert Doek, Diane and Reg Westgate, and Jake Duister. 

Walt will be sadly missed by his dear friend Shari Schepers. Also by his 'Other' family at the Duke, and his morning Coffee Friends. He will be fondly remembered for his love of dancing, his memorable ball caps, and his silly jokes.

Walt could often be found sitting in his recliner, watching Tractor Pulls or CNN. 

A visitation will be held on Monday, March 25, 2024 @10 am. at Dennings of Strathroy with a Celebration of Life Service @12 pm. A luncheon will follow.
