Obituary of Maynard George

George

Peacefully, at University Hospital, London on Thursday, December 28th, 2023, Chief Maynard T. "Wabgance" George at the age of 66 went to be with his Lord and Savior.  

Lovingly remembered by his children, Jonathan, Marsha (Sennen Sands), Michael "Lance" and Charly.  

Dearest grandpa and "Pom Pom" to Chaneille, Christina, Carla, Janessa, Amiyah, John Jr., Dylynn, Savannah, Sienna, Alayah, Nicholas, Michael, Kaylee, Adam, Quincey, Lance "Baby Bug", Embrey and Livy.  Dearest great grandpa to Mason, Hailey and Delilah.

Dear brother of Noreen, Janet, Harry Lee and Roy.

Predeceased by his granddaughter Natalie and brothers Milton, Harley and James and sisters Anna and Annette.  Also predeceased by his cousin Ralph White.  Son of Harry and Pearl George.

At the end, the way Maynard lived his life was reflected in the way he died, fighting til the end.  He was an advocate for the rights of his community and will be remembered as a man who cared deeply about the people and lands of Stoney Point.

Visitation will take place at the family home, 9211 Stoneybrook Dr., Kettle Point beginning on Monday, January 1st, 2023 at 3 pm until time of service on Wednesday.  The service will take place at Hillside Auditorium, Kettle Point on Wednesday at 1:30 pm.  Interment to follow at Stoney Point Cemetery.
