Obituary of Alex King

On Saturday, December 2, 2023, at London Health Sciences Centre – University Campus, Alexander Charles “Alex” King, of Newbury, passed away at the age of 81.

Predeceased by his beloved wife, Lorna Caroline (née Gilkes)

Loving father of Robin (Cora) King and Craig (Sherry) King, both of Newbury, and Shannon (Craig) Henderson, of Petrolia. Grandfather of Owen, Garrett, Charlotte, Benjamin, Isabella, Reed and Melanie.

Dear brother of Gordon King and Thelma King.

Alex was born in Mosa Township.  He was a son of the late Daniel Charles King and Helen Kathleen (née Scott). 

He was a lifelong resident of Newbury, he enjoyed farming, sawing lumber, and travelled all over North America as a former long-haul trucker.  He will be dearly missed by his family and friends.

Relatives and friends will be received at DENNING’S OF RODNEY, 212 Furnival Road, Rodney (519-785-0810) on Wednesday, December 6^th from 4-8 p.m. where the Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, December 7^th at 11 a.m.  Interment in McLean Cemetery.
