Obituary of Belmira Machado

Peacefully, on Thursday, November 30, 2023, at Babcock Community Care, Wardsville, Belmira Machado passed away at the age of 97. 

Predeceased by her beloved husband, Lourenco (1986).

Dear mother of Lourenco Da Silva (Carmina), Palmira Baganha (John), Joe Machado (Marina), the late Gina Lima (August 2023) (Manuel), John Machado (Karon), Leo Machado (Cheryl), Lucy Zimmerman (Rob), and the late Angelo Machado (2005).

Loving grandmother to eighteen grandchildren, many more great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.

Survived by sisters: Alice Tavares (Johan) and Lucia Brum (late Jose), as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Predeceased by siblings: Maria, Leonel, Manuel and Recil.  

Relatives and friends will be received at DENNING’S OF WEST LORNE, 202 Main Street, West Lorne (519-785-0810) on Monday, December 4^th from 4-8 p.m..  Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Mary’s Parish, 128 Main Street, West Lorne, on Tuesday, December 5^th at 11 a.m.  Interment in St. Mary’s Cemetery.
