It is with great sadness the family of Custodio Duarte Arruda Oliveira announces his passing on October 25, 2023, at the age of 79. Beloved husband of Maria Conceicao Silva Oliveira. Cherished father of Horacio Oliveira, Custodio Jr. Oliveira and Susanne Oliveira. Proud Vavô of Jauna, Deacon, Miles, and James. Predeceased by siblings Juvenalia, Esmeralda and Indalecio. He will be fondly remembered by many nieces, nephews, friends, and extended family members.
Custodio loved to visit with friends at the old Gardenia restaurant for a morning coffee and to read the paper. He always enjoyed his Saturday mornings at Roy’s Coffee Shop. Custodio could be found helping out in the kitchen, cooking a stew for his family to enjoy. You would often see Custodio spending time in the garden, tending to his green beans, kale, and tomatoes. He will be missed by all who knew him..
A Visitation will take place at DENNING’S OF STRATHROY on October 29th, 2023, from 5:00-8:00pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place the following day on October 30th, 2023, at 11:00a.m. at All Saints Roman Catholic Church. Interment to follow at All Saints Roman Catholic Cemetery.
