Obituary of Greg "Trucker" Goodhill

It is with broken hearts the family of Gregory “Trucker” Goodhill announces his peaceful passing on October 4^th, 2023 at the age of 63. Beloved husband of Lynn Goodhill (nee McDonald) for 40 wonderful years. Cherished father of David (Erica) Goodhill and the late Daniel Goodhill (1990). Proud grandpa to Curtis and Beau Goodhill. He will be missed by brother Brad (Dale) Goodhill, nephew Dalton Goodhill (Gracie Wilson), nieces Rebecca Goodhill and Gracie Goodhill, brother-in-law Steve (Janice) McDonald and nieces Nicole and Seana McDonald. Son of the late Laverne and Shirley Goodhill.  Stepson of Mary Goodhill. He will be fondly remembered by many extended family and friends.

Greg was a member of the International Union of Operating Engineers, Local 793 for just over 40 years. Cash crop farming and operating cranes was his passion.  He was known as a kind, generous man who shared his love of life and stories with family and friends.  The highlight of any day would be when he could interact with people through concerts, trips, parties or just a conversation. All of his pickup trucks had to be red.  Everyone that knew him, knew it had to be clean and shining bright.  

A Visitation will take place at DENNING’S OF FOREST on Monday, October 9^th, 2023 from 12:00-4:00pm. A private family service will take place, burial to follow at Beechwood Cemetery. A Celebration of life will take place on October 28^th, 2023 starting at 3:00pm at 7105 Brick Yard Line, Watford. As an expression of sympathy, donations to the LHSC- Liver Foundation or the St.  Joseph’s Hospice, Sarnia would be appreciated by the family.
