Obituary of Wayne Douglas Wilton
On Tuesday, August 8, 2023, at London Health Sciences Centre-Victoria Campus, Wayne Douglas Wilton, of Wallacetown, passed away in his 79th year. Loving husband to Joan (née Dawdy) for 29 years. Dear father of Scott (Sandy Burton) of London, Sonia Burton (Steve) of Taxada Island, British Columbia and Carmen Jane Wells (Kenny) of Summerside, Prince Edward Island. Cherished grandfather of Sean, Cody, Rebecca, Matthew, Evan, Tyler, Timmy, Lexi, Paige, Josh and Eddie. He also loved his great-grandchildren. Wayne is survived by his siblings Kenneth (Doris) Wilton, and Joanne (Brad) Reive. Survived also by several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Wayne was born on October 15, 1944 to the late Joseph Wilton and Viola (née Dodman)
He was the owner of Panther Products in Dutton and was well respected as a businessman. His business started in the early years in his bedroom and eventually grew to the storefront operation in Dutton. He and Joan were well known in the industry.
In later years, Wayne grew an interest in gardening; especially self-watering, raised flowerbeds. He saved and planted various seeds which continue to flourish at his home today.
The family wishes to acknowledge the nurses and staff on the fifth and sixth floors of Victoria Hospital for their attentiveness and care given to Wayne.
