Obituary of Anne Beachey
ANNE BEACHEY (nee Kavanagh) 1934-2023
Passed away with her family by her side at St. Joseph’s Hospice in London, on Tuesday, June 20, 2023, at the age of 89 years. She was the beloved wife of the late James Beachey. Anne came to Canada from Wales in 1955 and lived in Sarnia, raising her family there until 1981 when the family moved to Forest, Ontario.
Survived by her daughter Christine Beachey-Ward (Joseph) of Mississauga, three sons: David Beachey of Toronto, Michael Beachey of Sarnia, and Mark Beachey (Louise Ashawasegai-Beachey) of Henvey Inlet First Nation; one foster-child, Linda MacDonald and five grandchildren: Michael Beachey Jr., Matthew Beachey; Danielle Beachey; Jonathan Ward; Thomas McIntosh. Four great-grandchildren William Beachey, Abigail McConnell, Olivia Seguin, and Owen Seguin, and numerous surviving nieces and nephews, and great-nieces and great-nephews.
Predeceased by her parents Joseph and Johanna Kavanagh (late of Cardiff, Wales.) Survived by her brother Tony Kavanagh (late June) of Cardiff, Wales.
Anne was a member of the Sarnia Writers’ Group and published a number of works over the years, proudly led a Brownie troupe, and enjoyed many volunteer activities.
