My deepest sympathy and condolences to Bruce's friends and family. He will certainly be missed. As a fellow Ontario Land Surveyor, over the years, I had the honour and privilege to volunteer along side Bruce on several Association committees and task forces. I always valued his commitment and insights. His passing is a great loss.

I worked with Bruce for 10 years at the MTO. He was a wonderful coworker and human. I don't have the words to explain how grateful I am for what he has taught me, his time and his kindness. He will not be forgotten in the work we do. Once again, I'd like to express my condolences to the family, and I hope you are able to find peace with time.

There are some people in your life that you immediately connect with and always remember. Bruce was one of those people for me. Great sense of humour, professional in his work, and we had a common view regarding MTO bureaucracy - work around it as much as possible so the work can get done efficiently. My condolences to his family of whom he often spoke so fondly.

Bruce was an exceptional man in all things. His passions for history and Jazz inspired me from a young age, and now those things are my passions also.
I will never forget the summer days spent with Bruce and the Parkers, while he tinkered on his APCs, or read one of his many interesting books.
Although I only got to know Bruce for the briefest period of time, he was like a second father to me.
He will be missed and remembered with the greatest fondness.

Bruce and Val have been friends for over 30 years and have shared many good times together. From baptisms to weddings to birthday parties and too many late night euchre games to mention, Bruce's humour and character have left an indelible mark on our lives. We are grateful to have known him. He will be missed.

Bruce and I were classmates at Erindale. We stayed in contact over the years. If there was one word to describe him, it’s forthrightness. He was always welcoming, regardless of how much time had passed. I shall miss our conversations and your sense of humour Kind Sir.

I relied on Bruce’s surveying expertise to always provide me with support to do my job at MTO. He shared an enthusiasm for discussing and solving problems and explaining how to use technology to get our work done and that definitely made my work day better and maybe me a bit smarter. That made every encounter with him something to look forward to. He always made sure he added a dose of humour as well. I will remember and miss my meetings with him in his office that always left me feeling in a brighter mood. He loved sharing his progress photos of his vehicle restorations of old military vehicles with me. I shall miss seeing him again.

Bruce is someone I worked with closely for 15 years and every conversation I had with him, I learned something new. He was a great person and I had great respect for him. He was smart and even had his own style of humour, which was appreciated and came out at some of the best times in conversations with others. My condolences to his wife and family. He spoke of his family often in our conversations with great pride; especially of his children’s accomplishments.

I have fond memories growing up with Bruce and there were always lots of great laughs along the way. Growing up he was always there to provide support. Bruce helped me get my first real job at the Hobby Hut in Scarborough. As Bruce was a master “model builder”, it was upon his recommendation that I got the job. He always enjoyed sharing and talking about his collection of WW2 artifacts and taking me for off road adventures in one of his restored radio trucks when Finch Avenue was still undeveloped. Bruce had a keen sense of humor, and always made the family laugh. Bruce you will be sorely missed by the entire Parker family.
Rest in peace big brother.

Bruce was a wonderful person to work with - I have known Bruce over the years and he was the best go-to person in Geomatics. I remember popping by his corner office as Head of Geomatics to ask him things in the past. He was a technical expert who knew his stuff, had a great sense of humour and cared about people and doing the job right. Bruce was a straight shooter and his witty remarks and approachable personality will be missed here at MTO. Too early taken.
My condolences to his family...
